Wow...it's been a while!

Our family didn't do a ton of stuff this summer, there were no family trips and nothing super exciting to share. We did go to the Payson Pool a TON and also went to the Spanish Fork Resevoir quite a few times. Here are some pictures from some of those fun, relaxing days. :)

Time for Summer...

Every year it is tradition to pull out the clippers and give Ryan a summer buzz. This year Uncle Aaron was nominated to do the honors. Aaron thought it would be quite funny to give him a buzz straight done the middle and act like he was done. We all got a good laugh out of it.
Luck for us Uncle Aaron finished the job. The finish product of my cute Buzzhead!

UTAH VALLEY THUNDER!!!

On Saturday Donovan, Ethan, Quinn and Riley got to go to a Football Clinic put on by the Utah Valley Thunder. For those of you that don't know what they are (I'm guessing most don't, especially since this is their first year), they are a semi-pro Arena Football team.
This is a picture of all the rug rats that went to the camp together. They had a great time. It wasn't a huge turn out, maybe sixty. But that made it all the more worth it for those that went because the were able to get a lot of personal time with the coach and players. They were so excited. I'm pretty sure they will be talking about this for a while. :)

Here is a picture of the Head Coach talking to all the boys after the drills were done. I was very impressed with him and the players. They treated all the boys well, were very playful and fun yet really took time to give instruction and teach each one of them.

This is of the boys receiving instruction from part of the defensive line (with one of their running backs looking on). Donovan didn't love learning the stances on offense and defense. He loved the stations were he was hands on with catching or running the ball. I guess we know he won't be a lineman. LOL!

This is all the boys, coach and teammates together in the middle of the field, going over the drill stations. Each boy was put in a group and they learned different fundementals of the game. I think there were 6 in all: #1: Wide Reciever & Running Back #2: Tackling #3: Quarter Back #4: Offensive Line #5: Defensive Line #6: Secondary

Now for a little bragging...I can I'm the mommy! :)

This was Donovan's first real opportunity to go to any kind of football clinic that taught him the fundementals. He just soaked it all up. He was in HEAVEN. His strong points seemed to be offensive, catching and running the ball. He really seemed to impress to players that were working with him. They were running a drill where they threw the ball to a boy who then had to run towards defenders and try to get by them without getting wrapped up. Donovan just instinctively seemed to know what to do. It was so fun to watch. He had the Thunder Players hoopin' and hollerin' when Donovan would put the move on his defenders, break a few ankles and make it past them and into the "endzone". Donovan was just beaming! After the clinic was over the Head Coach walked up to Donovan and said "You did a great job. I want you to keep this", and he handed him a football. Oh man you would have thought Donovan just scored the winning touchdown in the SuperBowl. He was so excited!

Dunkin' Donovan

This video is a little dark.

Once Donovan found the hoop and ball

at the pool, I could not pull him away to

do other things. It's all good though cuz

he had a blast!

Bad Mommy...

Ya...so the first real nice day of the year and I totally forgot about the burn factor. Oops! I was just loving the weather and was all for my boys playing outside with cousins and friends. Looks like Mommy needs to run to the store for some sunscreen. When I noticed he was burned I said to Ryan "son, I need to put some Aloe Vera on you", he quickly said back "no mommy, I look good with a tan". Lol! Hmmm...wonder where that came from?

Spring Break 2009

So I took the boys swimming to the Legacy Center in Lehi, since we had such GREAT weather for Spring Break (Not), we opted for a warmer approach for some swimming fun. :) We had a great time.

I still have so much of 2008 to share...

Yes I know, more Halloween Pics from 2008. I am aware thst we are now in 2009 but I couldn't pass up sharing the Best Hulk and Power Ranger Ever! It was a great Halloween. Still eating the candy we got. Probably time to throw that out...;)

Adding to the oldies, to catch up on much needed Blogging!

I know, I know it's Halloween pictures for Pete Sakes. I am so far behind. I still wanted to share the cutest Power Ranger in the World. He got to dress up for Halloween at school. Funny part was, he was so busy doing "Amazing Ranger moves" that by the time we made it to school at the end of the day for his parade he had completely ripped out his back side. :D Important part is...he said he beat "Megazord". Oh he is cute...

Oldie...but some goodies!!!

So my cute little son (not so little anymore :( had a Crazy Hair Day at school. It didn't take much thinking or wondering what we should do for his craziness. Nothing like blow drying and combing out a big afro of beautiful curls. His hair is so soft. We just love it. He was a trooper during the blowing out process, that boy has a head of hair man. He had many who needed to take a feel through out the day. LOL!!!
